1. Americano. It's just a watered down espresso but it seems like you're getting better value. Plus it's not gone in moments

2. Espresso. Gone in a moment but when done right it's still very good.

3. Café au lait/latte. Excellent in the morning

4. Cappucino. Coffee with foam on top. OK if the coffee is good but you're paying a lot more for extra foam and less coffee. Then again, the foam tends to keep it warm. The most popular kind in many places.
5. Foamy, milky, creamy, flavoured gunk.
99. Takeaway.

This list is like ranking fuels from low octane to high octane.

So which is the high octane?
Sweden generally produces good filter coffee which isn't a thing you see as often as you should.

I'm sorry to disagree. Americanos suck by definition. If you want a bigger cup of coffee, get something that's made with a machine designed to make big cups. Such as any drip coffee maker.
same goes for lungo's.
An espresso machine is only suitable for espresso coffee. That's it. If you want something else, get a different machine.
Also, a cafe au lait is entirely different from a latte. A cafe au lait is drip coffee with a lot of hot milk. Latte is milk. A Latte macchiato is espresso in a lot of hot, steamed milk.
My credentials for disagreeing can be summarized by stating that my coffee grinder weighs as much as a small child.

The quadruple espresso, also known as la chuba quadra. Known for a high lasting about 30 minutes, a terrible crash afterwards, and leaving broken hearts everywhere it goes.

Regardless of theory, if you buy a café au lait where they actually call it that (France!), you get an espresso to which hot milk is added. You could order a café creme but you get the same thing.
You need either a larger child, or a Peugeot.

We all know Espresso is like 100 Octane, problem is that not every engine is tuned to take it. Unfortunately, mine is. So even though I work with Americano, it's not very recommended, and may cause misfire and stalls.
But one shot of espresso on a cold start is good to make the ol' Anti lag work.

From what I gather, Peugeots weren't designed to grind fine enough for espresso, and as such, they don't. Best bet is old german coffeegrinders stating 'Mokka' or 'Mocca' as that somehow meant they were designed for finer grinds. My PeDe Mokka certainly grinds fine enough for espresso.

I was thinking more in terms of the types you can usually buy. Any place they give you a cafetiere of coffee usually gives you crap coffee.

Drip coffee can be good if it's good coffee to start with and doesn't sit on a hot plate all day. Most coffeehouse drip is going to be just fine but the gas-station stuff is crap. I use a press every day because it tastes better than my drip machine.

The best coffee, the very best coffee, the incomparable coffee you'll never forget, is that which comes out of the coin-operated vending machine in the Interstate rest stop at 2:45 AM, when you're only about a hour, hour and a half away from finally making it home.
